Tricia Homer has served as executive communication coach at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland since 2016. In this role she offers workshops, one-on-one sessions and group coaching that address meeting facilitation and oral presentation skill gaps. Tricia designed and launched the Executive Communication Program in the executive and full- time MBA programs at Smith in the fall semester of 2016. In 2017, she developed and taught the core course Business Communication: Storytelling with Data for the MS in Business Management program.

Tricia oversees business communication at Smith as Director of Business Communication, Master's Programs. Tricia received her Executive Coach and Leadership coaching certifications from The Coach Training Academy and the Certified Coaches Alliance. Her Executive Presence coaching credentials are from Corporate Class Inc. She is the former chair of the College Park Community Foundation Board of Directors. Due to her service to the community, she was recognized by the Prince George’s County’s Social Innovation Fund, as a Top 40 Under 40 Changemaker in 2016.

Tricia is cofounder and CEO of HGVenture, LLC a management consulting firm. Notable clients have included COMCAST Global, Harvard Business School, the US Institute of Peace, the city of Rockville, the Democratic National Committee and the Center for Law and Social Policy.

She holds a master’s degree in Instructional Design from University of Maryland Baltimore County, an Executive Certificate in Facilitation from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University.
